Asked why he entered the field of law, Conrad Margolis confesses that he always aspired to be a lawyer. From a young age, he wanted to be in a position to help people solve problems. After receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree from UBC in 1982 in economics, he went on to attain his Bachelor of Law degree from UBC in 1985 and was accepted to the BC bar in 1986.
Conrad started his legal career in the WCB's Legal Department and is a former partner of a Richmond litigation firm, but has operated his own Law Corporation for 20 years. Mr. Margolis was co-counsel on the largest age discrimination case in Canadian history. Withler & Fitzsimonds vs Canada was a 2.5 billion dollar class action that went to trial in BC Supreme Court in 2006. The case was ultimately decided by the Supreme Court of Canada in 2011.
